Privacy Policy

What this app is

Padelgroup is a mobile app for organizing private padel groups. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

What data we collect

When you use Padelgroup, we collect and store the following:

• Account information: Your email address and name (editable by you).
• Authentication data: Hashed password or one-time passcode (OTP) records, depending on your sign-in method. We never store passwords in plain text.
• Group activity: Your padel availability, reservations, tournaments, match and game history within your group.
• Device and crash data: Device type, operating system version, app version, and crash logs (collected via Sentry) to identify and fix bugs.

Why we collect it

We process your data based on legitimate interest(GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — specifically, to provide and maintain the app's core functionality:

• Sign-in and account management.
• Scheduling, reservations, and tournament organization.
• Tracking participation and match results.
• Computing group statistics and performance insights.
• Diagnosing crashes and improving app stability.

Who can see your data

• Group members: Your name, availability, and match history are visible to other members of the private groups you belong to.
• Sentry (Functional Insights GmbH): Crash and error data is sent to Sentry for bug diagnosis. Sentry acts as a data processor on our behalf. See Sentry's privacy policy for details.
• No one else. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, located in the EU (Germany). Sentry processes crash data within the EU. Your data does not leave the European Economic Area.

How long we keep it

• Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted upon request.
• Match and tournament history: If you delete your account, your personal data (email, name) is removed. Historical match and tournament records may be retained in anonymized form to preserve group statistics. Anonymized data cannot be used to identify you.
• Crash data: Retained in Sentry for up to 90 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data (you can update your name directly in the app).
• Deleteyour personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Complain to a supervisory authority. In Denmark, this is the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

Children

Padelgroup is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of Padelgroup after changes constitutes acceptance.
